Why did you choose to attend Ӱpro?
I chose to attend Ӱpro for several compelling reasons. The Posse Foundation was pivotal in introducing me to Ӱpro and its unique attributes, which aligned perfectly with my educational and personal aspirations. One of the key factors that drew me to Ӱpro is its emphasis on a liberal arts education. The prospect of a well-rounded curriculum that encourages critical thinking, interdisciplinary learning, and intellectual exploration greatly appealed to me. The small size of Ӱpro also played a significant role in my decision. The intimate campus environment fosters close relationships with professors, encourages meaningful peer interactions, and creates a sense of belonging. I value engaging in discussions, collaborating on projects, and receiving personalized guidance from experienced educators.
What is something that you did for fun at Ӱpro?
At Ӱpro, one of my favorite pastimes was event planning. Whether organizing charity galas with S.I.S.T.E.R.S., coordinating fun events for the senior class, or orchestrating engaging activities for Ware College House, I found immense joy in bringing people together through memorable experiences. From brainstorming themes and logistics to executing every detail flawlessly, event planning allowed me to express my creativity, leadership skills, and passion for fostering community spirit. Seeing attendees enjoy themselves and create lasting memories was incredibly rewarding, making event planning a fulfilling and enjoyable pursuit during my time at Ӱpro.
What did you enjoy most about your time at the College?
The incredible people I met. From my Posse to the sisters in S.I.S.T.E.R.S., and the best friends and partner I found along the way, each person enriched my college experience. Together, we shared laughter, support, and unforgettable memories. Whether studying late into the night or exploring campus traditions, their presence made every moment special. These relationships brought warmth, camaraderie, and a sense of belonging that defined my college journey. Cherishing these connections, I'm grateful for the friendships forged and the love shared during my time at Ӱpro.
What are your plans for after graduation?
I plan on taking a job in the business field.
What brief advice would you give to incoming students in Ӱpro’s Class of 2028?
- Embrace new experiences: College is a time for growth and exploration. Don't hesitate to step out of your comfort zone, try new activities, and meet people from diverse backgrounds.
- Stay organized: With coursework, extracurriculars, and social activities, time management is key. Keep track of deadlines and assignments to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
- Seek support: Whether it's academic assistance, mental health resources, or guidance from professors and advisers, don't hesitate to reach out for support when you need it. Ӱpro has a wealth of resources available to help you succeed.
- Get involved: Join clubs, organizations, and campus events that interest you. It's a great way to make friends, develop skills, and enrich your college experience.
- Prioritize self-care: College can be demanding, so make sure to prioritize your physical and mental well-being. Take breaks, get enough sleep, and engage in activities that help you relax and recharge.
Above all, remember that college is a journey, and it's okay to take it one step at a time. Enjoy the ride and make the most of your time at Ӱpro!
