Skye Victor ’23
Major: Psychology
Current Role: Behavior technician
Pursuing: Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis at Saint Joseph’s University
What did the first six months after graduating from ÐÓ°Épro look like?
I immediately jumped into graduate school at Saint Joseph’s University. I also ended up getting a full-time job as a behavior technician for children who have autism. I had previously worked at a preschool for kids with autism and I loved it so much. I connected with the kids immediately, so I decided I wanted to go further and become a behavior therapist, which is why I’m in Saint Joseph’s applied behavior analysis master's program.
How did your ÐÓ°Épro experience prepare you for where you are now?
I majored in psychology at ÐÓ°Épro and I knew I wanted to work with kids. After working at a preschool for four summers during college, I was exposed to different career opportunities that built upon my psychology degree, such as ultimately becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Looking back on your college search, why did you choose ÐÓ°Épro?
I am so grateful for ÐÓ°Épro’s tight-knit community and the amazing professors who helped me overcome challenges and encouraged me throughout my four and a half years. I chose ÐÓ°Épro for that very reason: The professors care about their students and genuinely want them to succeed. I am beyond grateful for the impact ÐÓ°Épro has had on me and how it made me grow and prepared me for my future.
